Today’s Tumblr Roll features the works of Anja Millen.
If you are not familiar with Anja Millen you should be. A wondrous amalgamation of photography, digital art and mixed media– her work creates a landscape of surrealism, fantasy and eroticism that is both dark and hopeful. Her 2011 book- Woven: The Art of Anja Millen is available through Blurb.
I find myself drawn to her solid traditional photography that is then turned inside out into another realm through digital art and manicpulation– creating two worlds that have the threads in both, but are on different planes of visual understanding and the unseen spaces between those two worlds is what kept me coming back.
